• and the existing analogue services while they are still operational.

IRS with an extended configuration can provide ethnic services such as Turkish TV, European TV and radio from one antenna location.

By installing an IRS, individual residents have the choice of subscribing to Pay TV services such as Sky TV, Freesat with some 80 channels which are free to view, Freeview which is the free terrestrial service, or do nothing and continue to use the analogue terrestrial broadcasts until they are switched off. In the North West region, this date is set for 4th November 2009.

Sky Plus is now standard for all IRS networks. This enables a standard Sky box, Sky Plus or High Definition box to be connected to the system and have the facility to download or record programmes to the internal Sky Plus hard disk.
